My name is Michael Turner and I am an authorised civil marriage celebrant for the Commonwealth of Australia. I provide services to clients from all over the world who have decided to be married in "The Tropical Paradise" that we have here in Cairns, Port Douglas, and surrounding regions.

My wife Jaki and I have lived in Tropical North Queensland for some 30 years, and as you will understand we have an in-depth knowledge of the region and what it has to offer to you, as you are considering the serious and joyful vows of marriage.

The region offers security, along with its trade-mark relaxed laid-back tropical atmosphere. To accommodate you, we have some of the world's finest hotels, as well as smaller boutique resorts, many with appropriate venues for the ceremony, and the celebrations afterwards. Our beaches, rainforests and tropical gardens provide spectacular outdoor venues to ensure the success of what will be one of the most important days of your lives. There are also several beautiful chapels in both Cairns and Port Douglas, which can be utilised for civil ceremonies.

Part of my role is to provide suggestions for the venue, and assistance with the choice of the ceremony and the manner in which you would like it to be conducted. I also provide advice on Australian legal requirements. You will be presented with a wedding certificate, as well as a personalised souvenir copy of your chosen ceremony.

Wherever possible, I also like to spend some time with you before the wedding to discuss and confirm the finer details, which can be so important to you.

I am more than happy to introduce you to other professionals who provide specialised venues and services, and to photographers whom I have worked with over many years, and whose expertise I appreciate and recommend.

Finally, I would like to emphasise to you that I strongly believe that in these modern times, marriage has in fact become much more of a committment and I will conduct your ceremony in a joyful, relaxed, but dignified manner.
